The Exiled Queen
by Cinda Williams Chima
Whilst I found The Exiled Queen harder to get into than The Demon King, I still enjoyed it very very much. The beginning was a bit slow, but once our main characters arrive at Oden's Ford, the story starts to get more interesting.
I think both our main characters, Han and Raisa, are utterly brilliant. Both so different yet also in ways exactly the same. In The Exiled Queen, they both experience a lot (no spoilers) and it's interesting to see how they change as people. We got more of Han's POV in this sequel but that made sense for the story.
I was planning to read a different book between this and book three in the series, but after finishing The Exiled Queen... I simply HAVE to read on! This series will probably become a new all-time favourite.
