Becoming Beauvoir: A Life by Kate Kirkpatrick

2.0

I just couldn't love this biography even though I really wanted to. I read many intriguing articles written by and about Kirkpatrick before purchasing this title. While there was nothing at all wrong with this book, I was able to step away from it for long stretches of time and not feel compelled to pick it back up again (although finish it I did). Simone de Beauvoir didn't come to life here like I hoped she would, although otherwise I find her fascinating to read about.
