Free Fall by Sara Cate
5.0
Free Fall is the second book in the Wilde Boys series and I couldn’t wait to start reading this one. It’s a standalone, but if you haven’t already read [b:Gravity|55529084|Gravity (Wilde Boys, #1)|Sara Cate|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1605716661l/55529084._SX50_.jpg|86592602], I highly recommend reading it before you dive in here. You get so much more of Nash’s backstory and without it, I don’t think you’d get the full depth of his pain and anger.
Nash Wilde has my whole heart. I fell in love with this broken, closed off, tortured man in Gravity and wanted so much more for him than Zara and Alistair had to offer. He’s had to deal with so much heartbreak and shoulder so many expectations that he’s learned to keep things bottled up, causing him to self-destruct when he’s backed into a corner. But his passion for the people he loves is unmatched, even when he’s been hurt by them before.
Ellis Prior is a man in control of his life and emotions. He’s open and generous with his love and affection. He always seems to know what the people around him need and how he can help. But, he’s been hurt and it’s causing him to keep a piece of himself closed off to protect his heart.
Hanna Thurber has had a rough life and after her career as a professional ballerina takes a turn, she’s left feeling uncertain about everything. But, she’s a nurturer at heart and spends a lot of time trying to make everyone around her happy...sometimes to her own detriment.
The three of them together are incredible - it’s a grouping that shouldn’t work, but they bring out the best in each other. Without even one of them, their relationship wouldn’t be complete. Nash and Ellis’s previous relationship is so steamy and so heartfelt, even if they didn’t quite understand how deep it really went. And, with Hanna around, it only adds to the steam, the connection and the passion. Together, they overcome obstacles and grow as individuals to become the people they need to be for their relationship to flourish.
This book was heartbreaking, romantic, steamy and beautiful. I wanted so much more for Nash after finishing Gravity and Sara most definitely delivered. I’m sad that we’re done with the Wilde Boys, but this was quite the send-off for these troubled guys. If you love MMF, second chance romance, friends to lovers, and/or a little kink, you’re going to love this one!
