I don't know how I did it, but I was able to push through and finish this book! I found this to be such an insufferable read and I couldn't wait to just be done with it once and for all. The language was bland and confusing, the story felt too chopped up, and the overall execution felt odd to me. I understand that the four parts didn't necessarily have to be linked, but they just felt like four short stories that led to nowhere in the end. Overall though, this is a work of satire, and I thought this was the only redeemable element. Since satire is the main purpose here, I'll give it 2 stars, but only because the satire was fairly decent. Otherwise, I really didn't enjoy this at all.
