By a Thread fulfills all of my standards for a five-star read and more. So much more. IM OBSESSED?? This book had it all, wow!! I was grinning the entire time and did laps around my room.
Ally and Dom!! They had one of the funniest banters I've ever read; I was laughing so hard from their first meeting, and the tension, as well as their nicknames, was the best thing EVER. Their passionate chemistry and witty banter is simply fun as they struggle to keep their mutual attraction at bay in this slow-burn romance. After all, he is her boss.
I liked how he acknowledged his mistakes and went about expressing our precious heroine how much she was loved. I loved when she started connecting everything together and his return trip to the pizza store, and his emails at the end were so genuine and touching. Everything starts to make sense, with not a single detail overlooked or a single question unanswered.
The characters are all excellent, from the main couple to their parents, friends, and coworkers. This author clearly knows how to write grumpy males since I devoured this book as quickly as I devoured Things We Never Got Over, so I'm going to be reading more of her works because I'm obsessed.
