One word: OBSESSED
I didn't think I would ever be able to recapture the feelings Modern Witch gave me until I came across this series. Audrey Faye manages to recapture the heart and soul of what made Modern Witch amazing and added on to it. She somehow made it more and deeper and more complex. I read the whole series (6 books so far) in less than a week, foregoing sleep and food and work to read it all as quickly as possible. I will most definitely re read this a couple times this year to capture all the nuances I missed the first time (*coughs* and second, since I already reread Alpha).
This book is the beginning, how everything started and it warms my cranky soul!
Update 01.30.21: I have lost count over how often I have re-read this book last year and every time I find something new. I wish this place and the characters were real and I could visit them. Despite the beginnings, this book, this series really, is the most wholesome and hopeful story I have ever read. Whenever I am down, or anxious, I pick it up and start over. I cannot wait for Book 8 to be released this year.
