I am not usually a plot person, but I could not buy the plot in this book and it drove me crazy. Nothing about Martine's behavior made any sense given the way Evelyn had described her work, and lampshading this by saying that Evelyn is going to "study" her was both unconvincing and (on Evelyn's part) creepy. I also didn't believe anything about the denouement. It just didn't work for me at all.

Having said that, Sarah Gailey ability to inhabit Evelyn and really nail her voice was impressive and shows prodigious talent.
