I really love DN Bryn’s writing and this book was a great addition to their vampire series!

Rahil spends his time hunting the apps for hookups for blood and sex; being a vampire means he’s constantly looking over his shoulder and his difficult past prevents him from trying to make any long-lasting relationships… Until he ‘accidentally’ gets trapped (repeatedly) in the workshop of a metalsmith with a wall full of knives. Whoops!

Mercer’s life is all about his work and looking after his chronically ill daughter. But when a beautiful vampire quite literally crashes into his life, something sparks to life inside him - something he hasn’t felt since his’s wife’s murder. He ropes Rahil into helping him with a project he’s working on, a metal that will hopefully help heal vampires, and the two grow closer.

But both Mercer and Rahil are hiding things that might destroy their new friendship and the evil corporation Vitalis-Barron is moving forward with its plan to kidnap and experiment on vampires. To add the to drama, Mercer is being threatened by multiple people who want access to the rare metals he can create - but are they trying to hurt or help the vampires? And can Mercer tell the difference before it’s too late?

There was a lot of angst in this book and I was in the edge of my seat whilst I read! I desperately wanted the pair of them to be happy and I was so afraid of them the whole time; their HEA was hard-won and so deserved!
