This one was alright, a pretty textbook murder mystery book. The writing is a bit dry, but I think that may doubly be due to translation and that Japanese seems to be dry in general as languages go. The plot itself is interesting, and it's neat to see how everything is interwoven. The red herring is a bit obvious but makes for an enjoyable second perspective. The clues come together well, and I was pleased to see that I had figured out the mystery a few chapters before the book reveals it, but that there were still things I hadn't completely seen from miles away. The ending could have been a bit more satisfactory, though; we barely even see the arrest and get no confession or sentence, so we must assume that these things happen and justice is served.
