I've done my very best to stay away from books involving vampires. Call me crazy but I was trying to stay away from the "craze". However, this book isn't just about vampires, but more about a paranormal sort of world and beings that exist within our own world.
I was a little skeptical when I picked this up - reading about teenagers going into a dance club, didn't really intrigue me right from the start. However, once the author gets into the details of the Shadowhunters and the Clave, I was in!!
I instantly fell in love with Clary and how could you not fall in love with Jace?! I had a hard time putting this book down and it introduced me to a series that is now one of my favorites!!
I highly recommend this book - I definitely enjoyed it!!
