All Eyes on Us by Kit Frick

3.0

I guessed the culprit.

Here’s what kept me from being swept away by the novel:

Amanda’s plight and persona are neither relatable nor believable for her age. The juxtaposition to Rosalie’s strife serves to minimize Amanda’s problems.

Rosalie’s difficulties are serious, yet she takes multiple risks for others that are difficult to accept, given the consequences she’ll face. The resolution/outcome of her story minimizes the trauma.

Great notions and intentions.
Strong writing skills.
Cohesive story.
Helpful afterward.
