I am struggling to articulate how immensely I adored this new marriage in trouble romance by Maya. It was so refreshing having a 40+ strong female lead. I adored Ophelia and her desire to discover and reclaim a new facet of herself now her children have grown. It was frustrating to know she endured so many years of her love being taken for granted but her reinvention is inspiring.

It so easy to get bogged down in the everyday when you’ve lived and loved each other for over two decades. Love only endures when it is nurtured and when you consistently chosen. Sebastian and Lia fall into a pattern that leaves the heart of their foundation irrevocably cracked.

The breakdown of their marriage is viscerally heartbreaking but watching them actively working on finding each other again is tender, fragile and euphoric. I cannot reiterate how much Maya has stolen my heart with this latest installment in the Savannah’ Best series and I implore you to dive into Sebastian and Lia’s story when it releases on July 3rd.
