Ok I have a guilty pleasure, and it's realistic fiction middle grade novels. This was no exception. Where was this book when I was in sixth grade? Overall a very quick and fun read. Well, i don't know if it was really "fun", but the book does a great job at tackling tough and sad topics like domestic abuse in a way that isn't traumatizing for middle schoolers. Need to check out Ann Braden's other works!
