The writing was really good, but some of the scenes made me uncomfortable, even if it’s supposed to be written that way. it does definitely leave you with a pit in the bottom of your stomach. Challenging and dark are definitely two words I’d use to describe this book.
Also it seems like the scenes are weirdly romanticized? This book goes on for too long, and is a painful read. I am not one for book reviews but I genuinely can’t process this one. Will have to think for a few days.
