I absolutely adore Dan Abnett's writing and he continues to mine the humanity in an inhumane universe.
This is somewhat a short story collection and definitely feels a bit episodic but I think that is a strength of this work. The structure allows Abnett time to flesh out all of these tertiary characters and put you directly in their heads.
A great first read for the year!
