Review after a re-read;

There's absolutely no other book that has a hold on me the way If We Were Villains has a hold on me. I felt every emotion. The desperation, adrenaline, the angst, the happy moments, the insanity, the passion. M.L. Rio wrote this in such an amazing way.
The characters, all of them, are complete and so flawed in a good way. Especially having Oliver be the point of view from which the story is being told.

This time, I tried to pay a lot more attention to the Shakespearian parts and they opened up such another level in the story (though probably reading it for the 2nd time helped with that also). Near the end I found myself going back to parts from the beginning the whole time which shows how well this book has been set up.

An absolute rollercoaster of a book that will keep you in a chokehold for long after you've finished it. I can already see myself rereading this again in a year or two. I will never shut up about this book and I never want to.
