Happy Accidents
by Jane Lynch
I have always found Jane Lynch to be hilarious, and I forget about so many of her roles pre-Glee, because her celebrity has increased so immensely since she began playing the infamous Sue Sylvester. However, she was already almost 50 years old by the time she began that role, and the telling of her story up until that point was both honest and insightful. I greatly appreciated how brutally she was honest about her whole life -- her drinking, her trials of coming out, dysfunctional relationships and her frequent emotional rollercoasters.
Though it was not the constant laugh out loud experience I originally expected, Jane's journey to become the great actress/comedian she is now was unexpected and interesting to say the least...and her wry humor definitely came out often enough to make me giggle out loud at least once every chapter.
