Ahh I just loved this! It was such a sweet read. I’ve had this book on my tbr for so long and I can’t believe I didn’t pick it up sooner.
I loved the slow burn of Elijah and Hadley’s relationship, it helped build up the tension and connection between them. Elijah is a rude, grumpy tattoo artist…what’s not to love?! His character does start out quite unlikeable and I was scared I wasn’t going to like him, but he quickly turned it around and I fell in love! Also, him hating kids but loving hers did it for me. I eat that shit up🤣 In the first few months of him knowing them, he became a better dad to Hadley’s kids than their biological father (who I absolutely hated). I loved Hadley too. She’s so strong and an amazing mum to Lucy and Eli. Her kids were the cutest. I adored Lucy, she was sassy and hilarious!
The epilogue was perfect and gave me all the feels! I’d highly recommend this book if you’re looking for something heartwarming with a single mum and a grumpy, tattooed alpha-hero.
