I had a couple thoughts about this book so let’s get into them.
OMG THE TRANSLATION. It was so good *chefs kiss*. I’ve read other translated books and when you find one that’s translated with such sincerity and love, it makes the book all the better.
The characters and their dynamics? Honestly I really like the manic slightly unhinged character whose in pain, and the one who’s really calm about it dynamic however that’s not all that it is.
THE DESCRYTION OF THAT ONE ALMOND SCENE. HOW HE FELL IN LOVE. FIRST LOVE. AHHHH
This book would’ve been solid 5 stars if they didn’t end it with: that on traumatic incident fixed him and now he can feel emotions. Please. Stop trying to “fix” people. I despise the whole ideology that furthers the agenda that mental disorders can be “fixed”. (Even though he didn’t technically have a mental disorder ugh that trope kills me.)
