I picked up this book because Jeff Zentner is coming to an author event at my local library (with Silas House 😱). Little did I know what was in store for me. This is a beautiful young adult novel about being brave enough to dream that you could overcome your circumstances and having the courage to take the chance when it comes. I’m not joking or exaggerating when I say I felt every feeling reading this book. Happiness, sorrow, hopefulness, joy, despair, love, pride. I rooted hard for Cash and closed the book feeling so proud of him, and proud of Jeff Zentner for writing such a beautiful story.

Update 1/20/22 - Got the audiobook through my library and it's also amazing. The narrator does such a good job bringing Cash to life.
