This book and Book 1 were certainly my favorites in the series. I honestly almost rated this one higher buuut there was a gray area situation which could be classified as cheating and I felt like it wasn’t addressed well. Other than that I enjoyed this book. The spice was *chef’s kiss* and the emotional aspect of unpacking all that religious trauma and self exploration was very well done. Nadine is certainly a difficult character to approach and for some readers to connect with but I felt like the author did a good job. Also, no unnecessary third act break-up to kudos to the author for finding tension in other ways.
