I wanted to love this book. The premise is great, but then nothing happens. The protagonist is hard to like as she consistently fails upward. The characters are flat and the big reveal was so laughably disappointing that if I weren’t almost finished with the book, I would have dnf’d. There was so much potential here, but it was squandered, a bit like the dystopian planet the women have left behind. Maybe that’s the true message of this mess.
