The Ivies by Alexa Donne

4.0

Come for the academia, stay for the relevant commentary on class and race. While there is murder, and there is mystery, the format of this book strays from the typical. The death occurs a little too late, but the author uses this space to really build the world and its conflict. And while I found the culprit(s) to be rather predictable, it was everything else that made this a captivating read. And, of course, it wouldn't be dark academia if the characters weren't all terrible people.
