I adored this book and absolutely flew through it! Rachel Harrison's writting is amusing, poetic, and perfectly snarky. I enjoyed the characters immensely. They were all relatable and flawed, but ultimately adorable. I keep looking for villains, and was unusually pleased to find mostly redemption.
I could write a multitude of essays from the contents of this book. Like a perfect croissant, it's full of fine, complex layers that gether up into one beautiful entity, and I could help but devour every bit. If you like genre bending fantasy/horror, sarcastic characters, and a little bit of sweet romance, then this is it. This is the one. Read it!
