I enjoyed the continuation of some of my favorite characters but I felt there were still some backstory holes throughout the plot. How did they become governor's when the town locked the gate? Why them? Why has the king of another realm no knowledge of the ancient realms? Was there an option to reverse forget tonic? How has he spent a hundred years with enough dream sand?
