I thoroughly enjoyed this book in the Hornblower series. It is one of my favorite so far.
The book has a little bit of everything: battles at sea, land battles, a siege, court intrigue, a royal ball, and a glimpse into Hornblower‘s family life.
I enjoyed Hornblower getting a chance to deploy a squadron with multiple ships at his command instead of the previous books, with just one ship.
