Crooked House by Agatha Christie
3.0

This was just okay. I felt the characters were just a little...unaffected? Distanced? Austere? Maybe they're just British, but nobody really felt present. I was also looking for a bit more complexity. I had recently finished PG Wodehouse's Jeeves series, so the murder mystery in a setting where I just read dozens of books as comedy, was jarring and made it a little difficult to pick up on the gravitas of the situation.

I really just wanted a little more, but this was still an entertaining read, and what more can a read ask for?

I recommend to fans of mystery.
