Would Like to Meet
by Rachel Winters
I was ready to give this thoroughly charming novel 5 stars. However, towards the very end of the book, our main character "releases a breath she didn't realize she was holding." I cannot give a novel, even ones I really, really enjoyed, 5 stars when this hackneyed phrase is used. It was so disappointing when the writing had been so refreshing up to this point. How does this phrase keep getting by editors?
