like genuinely this is for the last reveal of the novel. ok um the final reveal of the novel is that a character pretended to be paralyzed for decades? to somehow punish her sister??? also earlier there was a woman in absolutely excruciating pain who killed herself to end it and the novel’s perspective on that was like. confusion and condemnation? like this book overall was kinda weird about suicide
