The Poet
by Michael Connelly
You know, my initial reaction was "Wow that was really good." However, as I sit here thinking about it it is beginning to unravel. For the bulk of this book I really enjoyed reading this story. It deals with a crime reporter following the trail of serial killer who murdered his brother. It is fast-faced and never dull, but I'm having a problem with the ending. It just doesn't fit right for me. I feel like the author was going somewhere and then changed his mind at the last minute. It left rushed and leaves some aspects of the resolution a little clunky.
