From the very first line of this book, I knew I was going to enjoy it. TJR makes me feel and think like no other author has. I'm not going to lie, as someone who overanalyzes everything and also cares and loves deeply, this was a tough book for me at times. I spiraled in my feelings of wondering who was "right" for Emma to pick while empathizing so deeply with each character.

At the end of the day, I'm not sure what I would do in this situation, and I'm not sure that this is something black and white. What I do know is that I thoroughly enjoyed this ride and these characters, and I knew it was going to be Sam from the beginning.

I know that while I may view love a bit differently in my personal life, I do appreciate some of the sentiments in this story. I definitely have some small issues with it... an example would be how sex was thrown around so frivolously in this situation. I don't believe love is an emotion so much as I believe it is a choice. Emotions are fickle and fleeting. So, I don't think aspects of this story of realistic from that perspective.

All that aside, from a purely fictional standpoint, I loved this one. It's a solid 4.5 stars for me.
