Squirrel Meets World by Shannon Hale, Dean Hale

Did not finish book. Stopped at 40%.

This was just not Squirrel Girl, it wasn't even proto squirrel girl. The parts where they gave the squirrels fictional slurs was a bit much too.

Squirrel Girl felt trans coded which was cool and seems like an odd coincidence with the cover colors? I guess I'll never know because I really don't want to read the rest of it.
