This book is a stunning meditation on addiction and mental health from an Iranian American author. I've thought about the title poem and analogy almost every day since finishing the collection, and am considering purchasing it so I can have it in a hard copy to re-read. As a dedicated library card holder and pick-books-up-off-the-street enthusiast, I can't remember the last time I bought a book just to have that I'd already read. Four stars because not every poem hit it out of the park for me, but the ones that did were very memorable.
