This was an adventurous pirate romp featuring an abundance of diverse characters with unique qualities and well crafted designs. There is a notice posted that whoever builds a flying ship commanded by a certain crew will be awarded the marriage rights to a princess. This book follows the captain, creation of the ship, and the acquisition of two of the necessary crew members. It is full of beautifully drawn details and amusing emotive visuals, and the action scenes are rendered to highlight speed and chaos. I did find myself a tad lost at times but overall it was enjoyable and a unique read that captured my interest and has me awaiting the arrival of the second book.
