I started with the comic but wanted more from the story. When I found out it was a book as well, I immediately bought it. I love the book even more because it fleshes out more of the story in a way that a comic cannot. The romance between the leads feels realistic. They don't fall in love at first sight. Little by little they open up to each other. I do get frustrated because many of their conflicts would be solved by just communicating but I understand that its more about Maxi growing into her own person and reaching a place where she can express her wants and desires without fear of retribution. I wish the book wasn't released in these small pieces though. I always want more.
