I was on board with this novel for the first approximately 80%. I gasped when Tyler asked Kristen to marry him. I even followed along with Kristen's pros and cons with Tyler versus Josh. Although there was a lot of dumb little miscommunications, I still don't think what ultimately happened had to happen.

Then Jimenez absolutely lost me. I feel terrible for all those struggling with infertility thinking they were picking up a book where they could relate to the main character on this level only to be punched in the gut with that ending.

Also let's talk about how Sloan deserved better, and how Brandon deserved better. Not a fan. Its a no for me. I don't understand how this was the only way the plot could have moved along. The accident, sure? Maybe it'd make both characters realize where things in life mattered, but the author didn't need to go to the lengths of ruining their lives like that. Nope.

This book had an opportunity to do this story right and be a source of relatability for many people, and to do right by so many people, however Jimenez decided to be all "oopsie" with the ending and negated ALL of it. Gross.
