Bitter Orange
by Claire Fuller
Atmospheric and enigmatic.
The intriguing but not-quite-likable trio staying at Lyntons share my taste in albums. I’d enjoy spending a month sorting through a dilapidated estate like they do, though I wouldn’t want their companionship.
Victor fascinates me most.
I see Franny as a contemptible yet understandable outsider seeking inclusion.
The acknowledgements include Leonard Cohen! (Swoon.)
This novel contains shadows of Never Let Me Go mixed with an aura of The Secret History and a smattering of The Talented Mr. Ripley.
