I mean... it was fine I guess.
The Family Upstairs was enjoyable but I don't think it needed a sequel, and having now read the sequel I'm no more convinced of its necessity.
It wasn't really a thriller, nor did it have any twists except one which wasn't particularly dramatic. It felt like a continuation of the character stories which were then mushed into the shape of a thriller because that's the genre that Lisa Jewell writes in.
Entertaining enough, nothing to gush over.
