The main character is a Scorpio & she just had a veryyyyy core moment of why the zodiac sign is known for trust issues! Like woof, if what happened to her happened to me, it would be revenge time, by me not karma 🫶🏻

I wanted to read this book because I knew that there was going to be a big plot twist at the end & it didn’t disappoint. I will say I wasn’t as shocked by it as I thought I would be, but I also like to sleuth so I was keeping track of everything & I  to use my Scorpio nature of not trusting characters based on face value. I am aware that this is also a negative trait for me 🫣

Also, I saw some interesting themes in this book that definitely used in newer books (cough cough Powerless & Fourth Wing). I will definitely keep reading the series to see how it plays out when I get it from the library. (Updated, I actually decided I’m not going to continue the series, not because I didn’t like it, but more because I have other stuff I want to read)
