ADHD for Smart Ass Women: How to Fall in Love with Your Neurodivergent Brain by Tracy Otsuka
4.0
This was a pretty easy book to listen to while walking and doing chores, and was generally helpful, even if I’ve already educated myself quite a bit over the years (I was diagnosed with ADHD as a young child and still have many symptoms as an adult) and it wasn’t all new information. What was helpful was comparing and contrasting ADHD with other mental health issues and learning differences, so you can better understand how these things may overlap or distinguish themselves from each other and how they affect you in your life. Also there are plenty of heathy tips and tricks, but everything was explained with the attitude that your ADHD doesn’t mean your brain is “faulty”; your ADHD actually gives you “superpowers” and strengths that make you awesome just the way you are.
