I did not become emotionally attached to any of these characters, other than Yu’chen (honestly because of how he’s treated not only by the fmc but his mother as well). Yu’chen deserves better, he didn’t choose to be born.
An’ying was mostly annoying throughout the story. Hated demons, which makes her hate Yu’chen, yet the friends she makes are a different type of demon so we’re good?
The second love interest seemed forced to be honest. I did not like their relationship at all.
I think we pushed the narratives of “he’s my guardian in the jade” and “he’s a disgusting mó” too hard. Especially when Yu’chen has been saving her since the first day they met.
