From a very superficial standpoint, I really liked the plot. But I wasn’t a HUGE fan of the MMC.
Bc I want to start book 2 asap we’ll keep this brief!
Shannon was fine. There were times that she a was a bit irrational for me but then ig she’s a 15-16 year old girl. I feel bad for the poor girl.
I didn’t like Johnny. He’s first instinct to just punch anything is a huge red flag. Also his arrogance is not cute. Like saying he “owns” the school rugby players? Chill. He also was giving ~misogyny~ with how he talked about girls and the referral to girls as "females."
Okay my last qualm is Gibsie slept with the school secretary who is in her late 20s and Gibsie is 16-17??!! Wtf ?? She’s literally a pedo.
Hated Shannon’s parents. Loved Joey. Love Claire and Lizzie. Hate Bella.
And yeah! Not much more to discuss besides this book felt super long.
