Nine Lives
by Peter Swanson
Welp.
I loved loved loved Swanson’s debut novel - “A Kind Worth Killing.” And “Her Every Fear” was also very good.
But since then - it just feels like the author is churning these out to cash his checks. And the novels just get progressively worse.
This book sure meets its promise. Nine Lives. And slowly but surely they die. And then there some half-assed twists and a last chapter letter to lamely explain the culprit’s motive.
The story is left with tons of loose threads and not much to remember.
