“Every man does have a star. The star of one's honesty. And you spend your life groping for it, but once it's out it never lights again”

Arthur Miller's All My Sons left me thinking about many things. It is crazy when put into perspective, how one lie can unravel and cause disaster. The play talks about many themes, such as the importance of family, morality, and even self-deception.

I like to think that Arthur Miller wrote this as a critique of what the American Dream was (since life has changed drastically since the 40s,) and how individuals get blinded in pursuit of certain dreams to the point they forget about their morals and values.

The addressing of corporate greed, ethical dilemmas, and accountability remain relevant to this day because we still live in a society where money is everything and integrity can still be lost as long as a person is making a profit we can see how modern audience can find that there is something to learn about the play.
