To be completely honest, I wasn’t fully sure if this book was going to devastate me. However, considering I stayed up until 3:30, desperate to finish it and then proceeded to ugly cry for 10 minutes afterwards…yup, it devastated me.
This was tragic and beautiful. 💔 And SUCH a journey…
My thoughts are all jumbled up, so here are a few things off the top of my head:
That very last paragraph just completely broke me. There were a good handful of characters that I DESPISED, but I know I was supposed to. The storyline held my attention for pretty much the entire way through, only a few times did it drag a little for me, but there’s enough crazy or emotional stuff in this that it wasn’t really an issue!
I may have more put together thoughts later, but this was overall great and I wish I read it sooner!
This makes me want to watch the movie Troy for fun. And I will definitely be reading Circe 👏🏻
