Theron Shan is an interesting character in the novelization version and in the SWTOR game, but I can't seem to like him in this volume. He just doesn't seem like himself despite references and comments made throughout the comic.

The Sun Razer plot and meeting Master Zho should have been fun and compelling but it was incredibly boring and lifeless. I genuinely only found the first few pages of Issue 1 interesting.

I also heavily disliked the illustration style. It was giving old Marvel where the characters are aged up and sex bombs and put into ridiculous poses that Caravaggio would be proud of. It looked weirdly like the 50s despite this supposedly being in the far far future.

There's something so testosterone about this comic. It's something I noticed about the few novels that center around the SWTOR so far that it just seems so male-centered, which wouldn't necessarily be a problem if there was just more vulnerability in them. More emotion. I honestly think I've been spoiled by the writers of the High Republic.
