nikifeeler 's review for:
Miss Morton and the English House Party Murder
by Catherine Lloyd
Miss Morton and the English House Party Murder is great start to a series I hope to see a lot more of.
It is slightly grittier than your average "cozy" mystery, however it is set in a time that was in general grittier, especially for those in the serving class as Miss Morton is.
Lloyd has created an engaging heroine in Miss Morton, as well as her employer, Mrs. Frogerton. She has also written Miss Morton's relatives as such odious individuals it is clear why she would prefer to be a servant than to live in their home.
I am anxiously awaiting the next installment of the series!
