Shark Heart: A Love Story by Emily Habeck

2.0

I feel like this is a book where you either loved it or you hated it (with no real middle ground) and I was in the ‘hated it’ camp. I understand that the animal mutation was supposed to be a metaphor for terminal illness (and coping with a loved one being diagnosed with a terminal illness) but that doesn’t detract from how insufferable I found the main characters to be, which is a major dealbreaker in such a character-driven novel
