Warning: Before reading ends of cliff hanger if you are thinking of just reading the first book.

I’m obsessed with Jasmine Mas’s writing style. It is the way she does the internal dialogue of her FMC. I end up giggle the whole time. It’s this dry sarcastic kind of tone that feels relatable to what is happening. Idk but it’s one of the many reasons I love reading her books. Secondly, I like that she brings in the character’s childhood in the beginning of the book. You can see what shaped the character to where they are now. Life experiences mold the character to where they are and you understand better why they act the way they do.

I enjoyed the FMC being tough but not overly in your face. She understands her limits and works around them the best she can. She doesn’t rely heavily on the MMCs but they are used when need be in a tight situation.

I appreciate the personality difference of the three MMC. I don’t feel like one overpowers the other and they are able to stand out on their own. I also like their different backstories which we gain glimpses into in this first book. Definitely feel like we will learn more of Cobra’s history in the second book.

There are more mysteries left unsolved at the end of this book due to it being a series and can’t wait to pick up the next.

10/10 would read again.
