The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins

4.0

Everyone even slightly interested in evolution should read this. If you thought you know evolution, ha-ha, you don't.
Dawkins goes very deep into the causal net that surrounds every aspect of life on earth. It raises questions (and often answers them) about how we, how animals, how cells, and ultimately, how genes behave and why; and this, on a multi-generational timescale.
I can't recommend this enough. It opens a new window through which you can observe life, including human behavior.
